Winter Special: Nonna’s Supper

For our winter pasta special, we’ve reached back into the Pastini archives for a dish emblematic of Italian-America cooking in the early 20th century.  When grandmothers (nonnas) cooked huge meals for the whole family on Sundays, melding traditional recipes like Bolognese meat sauce with American favorites like Mac ‘n Cheese.  We call this dish Nonna’s Supper, and you’ll call it wonderful!  Pastini’s creamy Mac ‘n Cheese, made with white cheddar, parmesan and a splash of Oakshire Amber Ale is topped with a ladle full of our slow-cooked Bolognese meat sauce, for a meaty, cheese-y,  incredibly savory pasta.  A winter’s dinner doesn’t get much better than this.

Eat well and stay safe,

Susie B.
