June 28, 2024 — Summer in the Pacific Northwest is finally here—a time of vibrant colors, fresh harvests, and lazy afternoons that seem to stretch on forever. It’s a season made for gathering with friends and family, sipping cool drinks, and sharing delicious meals that celebrate the best of what nature has to offer. At Pastini, we’ve crafted a new seasonal menu that embodies the spirit of this beautiful time of year, and we think you’ll love every bite.


Summer Pasta Special


Our seasonal pasta, Fettuccini with Grilled Summer Vegetables, brings a summer medley of grilled sweet corn, zucchini, and tomatoes, complemented by the tangy kick of pepper drops and a generous sprinkle of parmesan. This dish perfectly represents summer’s bounty—a hearty, veggie-filled pasta guaranteed to satisfy your cravings.


For lighter fare, our Roasted Beet Salad is a must-try. It combines the earthy sweetness of red and golden beets with the zesty brightness of seasonal oranges. Topped with creamy goat cheese and chopped Oregon hazelnuts, all served on a bed of mixed greens tossed in our house-made balsamic vinaigrette, it’s a refreshing start to any meal.

And this season, you don’t have to choose between red or white, because we’ve got both! We’re proud to showcase two exceptional wines from the small, family-owned Palamà Vineyard in Puglia, Italy, nestled on the historic sunny coastal Salento Peninsula—the heel of Italy’s boot.


Our Palamà Verdeca Salento Bianco is an ancient white wine that shines with flavors of lime, pomelo, and mint, reminiscent of coastal Italy. Its mineral backbone provides excellent structure, making it an ideal choice for fans of crisp, refreshing white wines. It’s perfectly paired with the citrusy notes of our summer Beet Salad.


Summer Wines


For those who prefer reds, Palamà Arcangelo Primitivo offers a medium-body, with deep ruby hues and sweet tannins, and notes of plum and subtle hints of tobacco spice. Similar to Zinfandel, Primitivo is renowned for its bold, fruity profile. It pairs beautifully with our Fettuccini with Grilled Summer Vegetables, complementing the subtle smokiness of the grilled veggies.


And let’s not forget our perfect patio sipper, the Summer Sanga-Rita! This fruity cocktail mixes tequila, triple sec, fresh squeezed citrus, and strawberry with a secret ingredient—Shallow Seas Rosé. This local rosé, crafted from Willamette Valley grapes, adds fresh fruit aromas and vibrant cranberry and strawberry notes–a drink as lively as a summer day.


Summer Sanga-Rita and Orange Creamsicle


If you’re in the mood for something non-alcoholic, make a splash this season with our Zero-Proof Orange Creamsicle. This bright and nostalgic mocktail combines the zest of local Dhos Orange, creamy vanilla, San Pellegrino Aranciata, and fresh orange juice, creating a dreamy beverage that transports you back to your favorite childhood treat.


And of course, no summer meal is complete without something sweet! By popular demand, our Lemon Custard Cake is back! This seasonal favorite is freshly made in-house daily and served with a fresh berry compote and a generous dollop of whipped cream, delivering a taste of sunshine.
