Pastini had the opportunity to volunteer at the Portland Community Farm with the Oregon Food Bank on Tuesday, October 17th. It was a blast!
Our main focus was preparing the farm for the changing of the seasons. We weeded, removed pumpkin plants that were done producing for the season, planted onions, put up fencing to protect raspberry plants and visited with Lola the resident vegan pig (who only eats vegetables from the farm). We also harvested collard greens, squash and peppers.
We are so excited to have had another opportunity to volunteer with the Oregon Food Bank and look forward to this every year.
