We’ve made a few additions to our wine list: a couple of excellent white wines just right for summer.
From our friends at A to Z Wineworks, comes this lovely, delicious and easy drinking Chardonnay. A to Z does not age this wine in oak, featuring pure Chardonnay fruit flavors. The resulting wine is juicy and full of bright tropical fruit.
And we’ve added our first Italian Chardonnay from Pio Cesare! From the cooler climate of Piemonte, it is also not oak aged, bringing classic flavors of apple and lemon to the forefront and enhanced by lovely floral aromas and mineral notes. Delicious with rich, creamy dishes like Chicken Alfredo or Fusilli alla Roma.

While Vermentino is not well known here, it’s widely grown in coastal areas of Italy, like the Maremma area of Tuscany where our new Prelius Vermentino hails from. It boasts restrained pineapple and lemon fruitiness with hints of flint and an elegant crisp finish. As you probably guessed, it is a terrific wine with seafood pastas.
Last but certainly not least, Cooper Mountain brings us a classic Oregon Pinot Gris. One of the oldest Willamette Valley wineries (founded in 1978!) , Cooper Mountain farms organically and biodynamically, and is dedicated to protecting the environment as well as making wonderful wines. They are particularly well known for their Pinot Gris!
We hope you’ll visit us soon, and say cheers to Wine Wednesday with one of these, or any wine on our list. Bottles are 50% off the list price every Wednesday!
