Food and Wine Pairings for Fall

Spaghetti & Meatballs is Pastini’s everyday best-seller, but it’s really comforting on a crisp autumn day. We like to pair it with Pastini Rosso, our excellent everyday red wine. Made for us in Italy with 100% Sangiovese by respected winemaker Antonio Sanguineti, its easy-drinking style features tasty cherry fruit, earthy notes and a soft finish.
Linguini Misto Mare is a traditional shellfish pasta, bathed in butter, lemon and white wine. A crisp, citrusy white is called for here, and Di Lenardo Pinot Grigio fits the bill deliciously, an elegant PG from the Veneto region of NE Italy. We source our fresh clams from Penn Cove Shellfish, sustainably-grown in Puget Sound and harvested to order
Fall mushrooms are featured in our Fusilli alla Roma, grown locally at Yamhill County Mushrooms. A great match for this creamy pasta studded with sun-dried tomatoes and roasted chicken is another local production, Sharecropper’s Pinot Noir. Pretty plum and cranberry notes dance across your palate, while subtle tannins leave it smooth and well-balanced.
